This blog is...

For my English-speaking friends, in the USA, or elsewhere in the world. I promised, as I was moving back home, to start a blog in English... it took me time, but now I'm doing it, and I'll try to keep up with it as much as I can!

After Ike

My dear Friends,
My computer is still set up with the Midwestern time. Now, it's 11:20 PM in St.Louis. I quit watching the weather forecast, because it was somehow depressing. But I still read the news, STL today online... and my best time at home, is when I can listen to NPR over the Internet!
So I've read and heard about the flash floods that occurred in the aftermath of Ike.
I hope that you're all doing well in this wet condition, and I just want you to know that I don't forget you (how could I?)

Take good care, I miss you!

Caroline

Hey there, I spoke to Jenny a few days back and Allessandra and her family made it safely through Ike. Power was out but they were hopeful not for long. Ike arrived here during the middle of sunday night and Paul tried to run his first half marathon in it in the morning. The weather was so bad it was almost comical but I was so excited for him I stuck around to cheer! Here is a bit on youtube to show you what the wetaher was like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63jy8ihP0xc
They finally had to call it at mile 10 because the trail flash flooded. He was disappointed at not being able to finish and will likely do hills and hollows next weeknd!
